Iowa City Tornado

As I'm sure you all probably already know Iowa City got hit by several tornados last thursday. I just found out today when there was a story about it on CNN international. I also got an email from my brother (who goes to school there) telling me about how he and his friends took shelter in a parking garage as a tornado passed very close by. In other news, the summer semester starts next week. I thought about going to Berlin this week but I decided I should save my money for this summer so I don't run out. I think I've done enough traveling in the last few weeks. Also the new Tool album comes out May 2nd and they're doing a warmup tour across europe this summer. A friend of mine and I are planning on going to see them in Düsseldorf. Also I finally got the results from my grad applications. Loyola, Northwestern, and Villanova all turned me down. MSU accepted me but said initially that they couldn't offer me any financial aid. So I've been preparing to return to KU but at the last minute MSU offered me a TA appointment. I have until monday to decide. It's a really difficult decision because it will set me back some time in my progress towards earning a PhD and I will be much farther from home. There's so many factors to consider...
