The Killer's Concert
Last night we went to the Killer's concert in NY. It was at this cool open-air amphitheater right on the beach on Long Island. Here's Tim and I hanging out before the show.
So we had excellent seats to begin with (orchestra pit about 30 rows back) but Tim and I got upgraded. What happened was Jess' friend had to pick up her ticket at the show and when she did she was told it was way up in the last section of the balcony. She wasn't too happy about this as you might guess so she and Jess went off to find a manager while Tim and I went to our seats. After a few minutes they came back with this security guy who told Tim and I to come with him. He said there was a mistake with Katie's ticket so they were going to let her and Jess have the orchestra seats and they were going to put Tim and I in the front row where there was a small handicapped section. It was awesome! We were right at the stage, just to the left of the band. I wish I could have had my camera but they said no cameras allowed so I left it in the car. I wish I would have brought it anyway because they didn't seem to be enforcing the no pictures rule. Luckily I did have my phone and managed to get a few ok pictures. The lighting was so intense that my camera phone just couldn't take very good pictures but at least you can tell how close we were. Here's a few.
Well sunday I'm off to germany. I don't fly out until 8:00 so I think we'll try and check out the liberty bell and some other touristy stuff.
